What we take out of garages

Short answer: almost everything. Our junk removal crew regularly removes old furniture, broken shelving, workbenches, appliances (freezers, washers, dryers), bicycles, exercise equipment, old paint cans, yard tools, holiday decorations, sports equipment, tires (surcharge applies), and general clutter.

We also handle construction debris left over from garage projects — drywall scraps, lumber, old flooring, and renovation waste. If your garage cleanout uncovers something bigger — like a rotting shed out back or a dead hot tub — we can add that to the same visit.

Items we can't take: hazardous chemicals (pool chemicals, pesticides, solvents), propane tanks that aren't empty, and asbestos-containing materials. We'll let you know during the quote if anything needs special disposal.

How to prepare for a garage cleanout

Separate keep vs. go. Walk through the garage before we arrive and pull out anything you want to keep. If you're not sure, leave it — we'll ask before we load anything that looks like it might be intentionally stored.

Move your car. We need driveway access for the truck. One car out of the garage is enough.

Don't pre-sort. You don't need to organize, bag, or box anything. We take it as-is — loose items, piles, whatever. Our crew is faster at sorting and loading than you are, and that's fine.

What happens to the stuff?

We don't just dump everything in a landfill. Items in usable condition — furniture, tools, sports equipment, working appliances — get donated to local charities and resale shops. Metals get separated for recycling. Electronics go to certified e-waste recyclers. The rest goes to licensed disposal facilities.
